Research Interests Supporting teachers of grades 6-12 in (1) the establishing and teaching of courses in African history and (2) the teaching of African literature. Compiling instructional materials, especially texts, for these purposes. On the steering committee of Teachers for East Africa Alumni (TEAA) which seeks to support secondary education initiatives in Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda (including planning a reunion/conference for June 2003 or 2004).
