Education

Research Interests Interests focuses on agrarian change, ethnicity and land conflicts in Zimbabwe in particular and southern Africa in general.

Teaching Interests Teaches undergraduate courses in Global History (earliest time to current times), and at upper undergraduate and graduate levels, teaches Latin America history and African History. At the University of Zimbabwe, taught undergraduate courses in the economic history of Africa to 1900, economic history of colonial and post-colonial eastern Africa and graduate courses in Comparative Slave Economies in the World and African Environmental History.
