Senegal

Ma specialité concerne le domaine marin, le domaine côtier et les zones humides au
Sénégal, mais aussi en Afrique de l'ouest. Je m'occupe de géologie/géomorphologie
littorale, d'hydrologie marine et côtière, de pollution marine et côtière,
d'amenagements integrés sur les zones marines et côtières ainsi que de manière
générale, d'étude des zones d'interface ocean/continent.

Je suis Membre du Editorial Board of Wetlands Ecology and Management Journal-Kluwer Academic Publishers,
Dordrecht/Boston/London ; Membre, NEPAD Water Task Team for the Creation of Centers of Excellencies on Water
Sciences and Technology (2005-2006) ; Membre, Académie des Sciences et Techniques du
Sénégal (depuis 2006) ; Président de l'ISME (International Society for Mangrove
Ecosystems) à Okinawa, Japan (2005-2011) ; et, Chair, United Nations Joint Appeals Board, United
Nations Office in Nairobi (2005-2007).

Depuis 1991, je suis Professeur titulaire des Universités, Université Cheikh Anta Diop
dans le Département de Géographie, à Dakar, Sénégal
