Recherche | Until July 2003, Anthony Marx was co-Director of the Center for Historical
Social Sciences, Director of Undergraduate Studies, and a member of the
Political Science Department at Columbia University. In 2002-2003, Associate
Professor Marx was on half-leave to direct the Early College/High School
program funded by the Gates Foundation and the Carnegie Corporation, based
at the Woodrow Wilson National Fellowship Foundation. In 2001-2002 he was
Faculty Director of the Masters of International Affairs, and directed the
Mellon Foundation's Sawyer Seminar on "Democracy and Inequality" also at
Columbia.

Enseignement | Dr. Marx has also taught at Yale University and been a visiting scholar in Rio
de Janeiro and in South Africa. He has received fellowships from the Harry
Frank Guggenheim Foundation, Social Science Research Council, and the United
States Institute of Peace. In 1999, he was co-winner of the Ralph Bunche Award
from the American Political Science Association. In 2000, he was awarded the
Barrington Moore Prize from the American Sociological Association. |
