Recherche

Interests include the bibliography of sources for Asian, African
and Caribbean Studies; also library, archive and information services in
Asia, Africa and the Caribbean. Member SCOLMA Committee, 1975-1979,
1980-2004.

Currently working on (i) a history of U.K. libraries with collections
relating to African and Asian studies; (ii) A bibliography of catalogues
of manuscripts in Oriental languages in collections in Europe and North
America; (iii) updates to "Writings on African archives" for publication
in African research & documentation.

Also interested in Preservation management
& Conservation, with special reference to disaster preparedness in the
developing world.
