Ph.D. thesis addresses dynamics of lineages and states in pastoral areas
of central/western colonial Panjab. Current research includes the history
of veterinary medicine and animal breeding programs in colonial India and
particularly Punjab. Research and writing interests include: colonialism
and imperialism, early modern states, Panjab studies, pastoralism, Sikh
studies.
