Research Interests	General ethnomusicology with focus on North India and Pakistan. Areas of research interest include North Indian classical, folk and popular musics, including Indian popular cinema music. Also of interest, the trance, ritual and folk music of Rajasthan (dissertation research), qawwali and the music of Islam.
